My favourite family routine

I would blog about my favourite family routine as i hope to win tickets for the family day out =)

it's my first time joining the nuffnang competition so hope im able to win it (:
if I didn't win, im fine with it too, because im able to write it out and share it with you.


My favourite family rountine will be gathering together with each and everyone of them during special occasions =)



I got a big family at my mother's side. They got a total of 11 siblings, but sadly, 2 of my uncle pass away few years back. My grandparent are capable enough to bring everyone up =) 10 years back, my grandfather pass away due to his sickness but after that, our family bond grows stronger.



We will gathered at least 3 times a year and everyone will be there for dinner no matter how busy they are. We will gathered usually when it has special occasion going on in our family. Chinese New Year is a must for us to gather, so we can build up more family bond, next will be either april or may when most of the family member birthday falls on the month. We will usually go to the resturant to have our dinner plus celebration for all of them including my grandmother. And last but not least will be Christmas day when everyone gathered at my uncle house for the party, exchange presents among ourself.



I love all the gathering because i can gather with all of them and know how they are doing lately.

As for Chinese New Year, we will usually have reunion dinner at my father's side and visit my mother side on the first or second day of Chinese New Year. But we do have a reunion dinner together during the third to fourth day of new year at my uncle house.



This time round, either buffet will be served cooked by the maid and aunties or we will called people from resturant to cook in the garden. We got different routine every year.

After dinner, aunties and uncles together with grandmother will gathered in the hall and talk among themselves while all the cousin will go to the top floor to build our cousin bond stronger. My uncle house is big enough to have all of us in, den when the adult finish their talking session, they will usually come up to look for us and see what we are doing. And we will take some family pictures to keep it as a memories.

Everyone will then leave close to midnight.

Next will be a gathering for celebration, mostly it will be done at teochew resturant because my grandma loves teochew's food. Just one month back, we went to celebrate her birthday at a teochew resturant. It happen that many of my aunties and uncles plus my dad's birthday, so we hold a celebration with 8 tables in the resturant. Had a very delicious and memorable dinner that night.

At the end of the end, christmas party will be held, door gift will be given to everyone and exchanging of present will be done without fail, buffet dinner will be served and cousins will gathered together to talk and play. Some will leave early before countdown as they got some other celebration going on with their friends while the rest will wait for the countdown.

This is the reason why I love this family routine as I can gathered together with all my family members and build more family bond together. If there's no gathering, everyone will just leave on their own.

I love my grandparents, parents and all my family member.
I thanked them for letting me to be out in this world and grow up in this family.
